Teo is married with five children. Three of her children go to school. She doesn’t take care of additional family members. She has a business selling local gin. She has applied for a loan of 1,000,000 Uganda shillings from MCDT-SACCO to buy more jerrycans (a jerrycan is a robust container made from pressed steel) of local gin.
She has been in this business for 5 years selling to all categories of people on a retail basis. She works from her home and works five days a week. Her major business challenges include transportation, thieves and defaulters. She aspires to become a wholesaler and also to see her children receive a university education.
She resides in her own house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees and paying for electricity.
