Phina is married with three children. All her children go to school. She also takes care of additional family members (her sister and older parents).
She has had a business selling charcoal for 10 years. She sells to all kinds of people on a retail basis seven days a week at the market. She has applied for a loan of 2,000,000 Uganda shillings from MCDT-SACCO to buy more bags of charcoal. She also generates additional income from rental houses. Her major business challenges include seasonality and thieves. She aspires to become a wholesaler and also to build her own house.
She resides in a rented house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses includes rent and school fees.
