Sophia is a single mother of four children and all of her children go to school. She also takes care of additional family members (parents and sister).
She has a pub business and has been in this business for seven years, selling to all categories of people on a retail bassis. She has applied for a loan of 500,000/=Uganda shillings from MCDT-SACCO to buy more crates of beer, soda and boxes of mineral water.
Her major business challenge includes transportation, thieves and seasonality. She is aspiring to become a wholesaler and to also own a fully stocked pub. She resides in her own house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses includes rent for her business premise and school fees.
