Mlongo is a married woman and has 4 children. She lives in her own home and must work hard to support her children, which she does with effort and sacrifice.
Mlongo has her own business as the proprietor of a shop where she sells foodstuffs. In addition, she also does farming. Over time, she has been able to cater to a diverse clientele, thanks to the quality of her work.
With this loan, Mlongo wants to buy what she needs to run her business, so she needs sacks of maize for resale.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
