Leila is a 59-year-old woman living with her husband in the Gurjaani district. The family runs an agricultural business. In particular, they have a calf and two milk cows. Leila milks cows and produces dairy products to sell at local markets at a good price. Besides that, the family owns an agricultural plot of land where they have a vineyard, which is looked after by Leila’s husband. Leila also purchases secondhand clothes from the wholesalers to resell with a price markup to her villagers.
With one part of the requested loan Leila wants to renovate a cattle shed. The renovated shed will give her the opportunity to purchase more cattle. Another part of the loan will be used to buy more secondhand clothes that she will sell for a good price and develop her business. This will help the couple to make their living conditions better.
