Sinat, a young 23-year-old mother of one son, is a local farmer from Kampong Cham province. She has been involved in the agriculture activity of rice farming for five years in order to make a living for her family’s sake. The current business earns her about 20,000 KHR per day. This is the first loan for Sinat with VisionFund, Kiva’s partner. She is seeking 3,000,000 KHR in order to buy fertilizer for her farmland. She hopes to boost her crop productivity and obtain a good yield with high income.

Kiva lenders’ funds will help the organization to expand into the northeastern provinces of the country, which have historically been underserved and difficult to reach with financial services.
