She manages one hectare of farmland on which she grows cassava. She has been engaged in this business for ten years. This business returns her about 18,000 KHR per day.
She has previously had four loan cycles with Kiva’s partner. She has used her past loans to support her business and maintain her living. For this cycle, she is the leader of a group composed of two female. Both members are seeking 1,400,000 KHR each. Thol will use her portion of the loan to pay for plowing, weeding, and labor costs. She hopes that her crop will grow well and provide her with ahigh yield.
