The communal bank "Estrellas de Mercedario" will begin its first cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Focal Point of Collpani. The group is made up of eight members and is led by a committee of directors, of which Cristina is the president. The members' businesses are varied, and include: selling linseed juice, painting wood, having a neighborhood store, selling food, making jewelry, sewing jackets, and sewing knapsacks. The loan that they receive will benefit the small micro-businesses.

Cristina is one of the beneficiaries. She says that this is the first time that she has worked with Pro Mujer, becoming a member through the invitation of a friend who is also a member of the institution. Presently, she has a business selling food. She says that she learned this business from a previous job; later, she decided to establish her own business.

The loan that she will take out now is to grow her capital by buying rice, oil, and noodles. She will buy these items in the wholesale stores in the city of La Paz. After making the foods, She will then sell them in the city of El Alto. This form of work allows her to generate the resources she needs to maintain her home; she lives with her her partner and has a son.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she responds that she likes the health center.

La A.C. “ESTRELLAS DE MERCEDARIO” iniciará el primer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Collpani, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Cristina es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: venta de jugos de linaza, pintura de madera, tienda de barrio, venta de comida, elaboración de joyas, costura de chamarras, costura de mochilas.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Cristina es integrante, ella indica que es la primera vez que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por invitación de una amiga que es socia de la institución. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de comida; cuenta que este negocio lo aprendió de un trabajo anterior, posteriormente decide establecer su propio negocio.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de arroz, aceite y fideo) que adquirirá de las tiendas mayoristas de la ciudad de La Paz y posteriormente a la elaboración lo comercializara en la ciudad de El Alto. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para mantener en lo posible a su hogar pues ella vive en concubinato y tiene un hijo.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta el área de salud.
