Dama is a vegetable vendor in her village. Most days, she earns an income of Kshs. 200 that she uses to meet the immediate needs of her family. She wants to improve her business and that is why she is requesting a loan of Kshs 30,000. She will use the money to improve her small enterprise and expand it so that she can earn a higher income to better provide for the needs of her family. She is thankful that her six children are very responsible and helpful, despite their poor living conditions.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
