Francis
Francis is 40 years old and lives in the town of Kijura in the Hoima region of Uganda. He is married and has three children who are all currently in school. For the past three years, Francis has been working hard to manage his farming business; he sells milk and rears cows.

To help expand his business, Francis has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more cows to milk and will help Francis to generate greater profits and boost his business. Francis hopes that in the future he will be able to meet family needs.

Francis is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Francis who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
