Carlos Paul
Carlos is a 24 year-old man who is single and lives in the city of Cañete in the District of Imperial. He lives with his parents and siblings and is a very kind, hard-working and enthusiastic person who has a great desire to get ahead. Sadly due to a lack of financial resources and the need to work, Carlos has not be able to pursue a professional career, but he would very much like to do that. In his free time he likes to do metal work, and on occasion he makes a delicious Carapulcra con Sopa Seca (traditional Peruvian pork and pasta dish) to share with his family.

On his own initiative, and with much hard work and dedication, for the past year Carlos has worked as a field hand in an agricultural cooperative in his town. He works every day for approximately 10 hours and he believes that things are going well because he is responsible and he treats others well. Carlos is very thankful to the Kiva lenders, since thanks to their help he will be able to build the back section of his house. Currently it is made with wood and cane, which does not offer much security. Carlos will continue working and pushing himself in order to achieve his dream of having his own pastry business and thus to be able to get ahead.
