Afiwavi is 46 years old. She is married to a physician's assistant and they have four children. The eldest is 23 years old and the youngest is 13. Only the two youngest children attend school. After her fashion design training, Afiwavi has been running a studio at home since 1986. Assisted by two people, she sells pagnes [traditional cloth] and sewing accessories (clasps, fabric, ribbons, etc.), in addition to her business.
With this first loan she is seeking from WAGES, Afiwavi would like to purchase supplies in order to better meet her customers' needs. She is thinking of opening a sewing shop to better look after her family.
