A loan of $725 helped to buy organic fertilizer.

Ambrosio's story

Mr. Ambrosio, who is 29 years old, is part of a family that is composed of four members; two sons and his two parents (Mr. Ambrosio and his wife are shown in the photo). They are a humble family with scarce economic resources. They live in the community of Uchama Baja, of the municipality of Mizque, in the Cochabamba region.

He works in agriculture and in livestock. He grows potatoes, beans and peanuts. He sells them in the same place where the merchants live in the same Mizque region. Mr. Ambrosio is a very respectable person in his community because of his dedication to his work and for being responsible in providing for his family's well-being and education. Their home is made of adobe walls, a hollow-reed roof, and a dirt floor. This type of housing must be prepared every year before the rains come.

Mr. Ambrosio is asking for this loan in order to buy more organic fertilizers in order to have better production and in turn, he will be able to improve his family's living conditions.
