A loan of $300 helped buy fabrics and sewing material, to make pagnes for sale.

Aissata's story

Mrs. Aissata is a 48-years-old married mother who has been active in her business for more than three years. She buys all kinds of fabric she then makes into woven pagnes (colorful West-African fabric) and sells them in the surrounding area.

She needs to buy items such as thread and fabric needed to make pagnes. This is why she is requesting a loan of 150,000 FCFA to achieve her objectives.

Aissata has no financial obligations as her husband takes care of daily household expenditures. She belongs to a tontine (savings group) to which she contributes at the end of each month. Some day the benefits will enable her to further bolster her activities at zero percent interest rate.
