Ma. Theresa is 34 years old and lives in Navalan, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur. She is married with five children.
Ma. Theresa has a general store that sells different canned goods and foods for daily needs. She had this business for five years. She requested a loan to purchase more stock for her general store such as shampoo, toothpaste, soap, canned goods and foods for daily needs.
Ma. Theresa has been a member of PMPC for five years. Ma. Theresa hopes to make her little store into a grocery store someday.
About Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative
Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PMPC) was founded in 1992 by the beneficiaries, parents and staff of the Paglaum Community Development Foundation to address economic and livelihood activities for sustainability. The organization operates in the northwestern provinces of Mindanao and Visayas.
In the local vernacular, “paglaum” means “hope.” The initial foundation is dedicated to child development through a holistic approach. The goal is to build self-reliance and expand opportunity so the poorest of the poor can help themselves.
