Sin is 43 years old, residing with her family in Prey Chor district, Kompong Cham. She is a mother of three children who are currently attending local school in the province. She has been farming for more than 20 years to add to her husband’s income; he works in the construction field. Together, they can make around USD 11.00 per day to cover their family’s costs.
Sin had just paid off her previous loan with HKL before she applied for this loan. Sin will use the loan to purchase a piece of farmland for growing potatoes. With any remaining funds, she will cover wedding costs for her child whose wedding party is coming soon. This loan will help her to boost her profit and further develop her business.

The organization provides microfinance services to the poor, particularly women, in urban and rural areas. Kiva lenders’ funds will be used to expand the outreach of HKL’s financial services to a greater number of clients in rural areas of Cambodia.
