Byron Antonio
Byron is married and lives in Managua. He currently has a computer-related job at private company. He is regarded as a responsible young man. He is pursuing a law degree because he believes this will enable him to provide a better future for his family.

He is seeking a loan from Ceprodel through Kiva so that he can pay his university costs. He will also use part of the funds for the construction of a wall behind his house, which he feels is necessary to provide greater security for his home and greater comfort for his family.

He is very grateful for the financial support from Ceprodel, as thanks to this he has been able to make improvements to his home little by little and thus provide a better quality of life to his family, since his priority will always be his children.

Additional Information

This loan is administered by Centro de Promocion del Desarrollo Local (CEPRODEL), one of Kiva’s larger partners in Central America. Founded in 1991 and based in Managua, Nicaragua, CEPRODEL specializes in the development and funding of housing cooperatives for traditionally marginalized communities, the provision of microfinance services to small businesses, and the promotion of innovative renewable energy projects. In addition, unlike many microfinance institutions in the area that have chosen to avoid the rural areas of the country due to the increased financial risk, CEPRODEL provides financial services to numerous clients in the agriculture and livestock industry. Supporting a borrower through CEPRODEL means contributing to the promotion and sustainability of this important work in Nicaragua.
