Mkambe is a 48-year-old woman from Samburu, Kenya. She is married with four children, aged 10, 13, 15 and 17, all of whom are in school. She lives with husband and children in a rental house that has solar power and tap water. She has a retail shop selling brooms, a business she has had for more than two years.
She has requested a loan of KES 40,000 to buy more brooms for resale. She is grateful for the help.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
