Es una mujer, trabajadora responsable, con ganas de superación personal, el cual desde muy joven ha tenido que trabajar para ganase el sustento de cada día. Ella es originaria del departamento de Chinandega el cual está ubicado en la zona de occidente del país. Maria es propietaria de una pulpería ubicada en su casa donde vende todo tipo de productos de consumo básico. El negocio lo inició hace quince años con la ayuda de su esposo y desde que enviudó ha tenido que trabajar duro para sacar adelante el negocio. Solicita el préstamo para invertir en su negocio, ya que dentro de sus planes esta fortalecer la pulpería para en un futuro remodelar su casa.
