Wilber Eddy is 36 years old and married, with two children aged 21 and 7. He is from Malpaisillo, a place located in the western part of the country. Wilber is known for being a responsible and hard-working person who has had to struggle in life to survive. Unfortunately, he was not able to pursue a university degree, due to the lack of economic resources, but he would have liked very much to study computer engineering.
Thanks to his entrepreneurial spirit and his desire to get ahead in life, Wilber's economic activities are providing milling services and raising and selling pigs. His business is located at his home. He has worked in this field for 18 years, and he enjoys his work very much. Wilber's working routine lasts for some 10 hours each day, as he offers his services to steady and occasional customers. The aim of the loan is to invest in working capital and provide maintenance for his mill, by replacing some parts and lubricating the equipment to provide better service to his customers, and thus obtain better income in the not-too-distant future. Wilber is grateful for the help that the Kiva investors provide to low-income individuals and poor countries such as Nicaragua, so that they can have the opportunity to work with dignity.

Wilber se caracteriza por ser un hombre responsable, trabajador, el cual ha tenido que luchar en la vida para sobrevivir. Lamentablemente no pudo cursar una carrera universitaria, por falta de recursos económicos. Pero le hubiera gustado mucho estudiar ingeniería en computación.
Gracia a su espiritud de emprendedor y ganas de superación personal Wilber tiene por actividad económica servicio de molino y crianza y venta de cerdos ubicado en su casa de habitación, desde hace 18 años que se dedica a dicha actividad. Actividad que la desempeña con mucho gusto. La rutina de trabajo de Wilber es de unas 10 horas diarias ofreciendo sus servicios a clientes fijos y eventuales. El objetivo del crédito es invertir en capital de trabajo y darle mantenimiento al molino en cambiar algunas piezas, y engrasados para brindar mejor servicios a sus clientes. y en un futuro no muy lejano obtener mejores ingresos. Wilber agradece la ayuda que los inversionistas kiva les brindan a personas de escasos recursos y países pobre como es Nicaragua para tener un medio de trabajo digno

Additionally, Fundación Leon manages several business and financial education programs in the community, specifically for young entrepreneurs and at-risk youth. Fundación Leon 2000’s group of experienced and dedicated employees works in 7 offices in Leon, Chinandega, Chichigalpa, Somotillo, Jinotepe, El Sauce, and Nagarote and serves several thousand clients (the majority of whom are women).
