Karim
Mr. KARIM is 53 years old and lives with his seven children and his wife in a nuclear family in the Ouelessebougou prefecture of the Koulikoro region. KARIM didn’t have the chance to attend school. He became interested early on in making a living, notably in selling grains. He learned about this trade from his maternal uncle, who used to be a big grain seller. With the concern of being able to satisfy his fast-growing clientele, he decided to collaborate with Soro Yiriwaso. He is on his second individual loan, which will be used to buy two tons of corn from farmers which he sells at retail in OUELESSEBOUGOU for cash or credit to a mixed clientele. KARIM hopes to make a monthly profit of 75,000 FCFA, which will be used to repay the loan and to reinvest into his business.
