In this Group: Maria Antolina, Celestina, Juliana Miguelina, Olinda Geronima, Rogelia, Nolasco, Antonia Luz, Shickshi De La Cruz
This is the Mujeres Rumbo al Progreso group. Juliana is a member of the group. She is 43 years old and has a partner with whom she has three children. Her husband works as a merchant with the goal of generating greater earnings for their family. She helps him out by working in their grocery store. Before, her work required greater sacrifice because she traveled through the province carrying her products to sell.

Their business is currently located in a store where they rent. There she sells all types of basic needs products. Thanks to her work, her family enjoys some comforts and she can also provide her children with a good education. The loan that she has requested from EDAPROSPO will be used to buy grains and prepare cereals to then sell in her store. In the future she hopes to buy her own store location where she could establish her business.

Juliana thanks you for your support! In the photo she is dressed in a turqouise blouse.

The photos of Nolasco and Antonia have been attached to the lower right-hand side and to the lower left-hand side, respectively, of the group photo.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
