Sandjiry is a mason by profession and has built up 5 years experience in that line of work. He is married and the father of 2 children aged 7 and 3. He sells dried fish. He goes to get his merchandise in Joal, in the Mbour region, and then resells it at markets where he has wholesale customers. He takes care of his little family, pays for his child's education and saves a bit of money using the profits generated by his business. He would like to diversify his activities, or rather, make them productive, as he has already started a motorcycle taxi business which brings in hardly anything at all (an average day's takings being 3000 francs). He thinks that he will manage, with UIMCEC's support.
