This client, MARIAM, who is seated in the middle in the photo, intends to purchase a cart load of yams from Dioïla wholesalers and then resell the yams locally in the village and at nearby fairs.

Le groupe Ben, composé exclusivement de femmes mariées, ont en moyenne 38 ans, 3 enfants et vivent toutes dans des familles traditionnelles élargies dans le village de Tomba, Région de Koulikoro (deuxième région administrative de la république du Mali).
Elles se sont connues à travers des liens de parenté, de voisinage et d’amitié. Elles font le commerce d’habits, de condiments, des tubercules et de céréales.
Les femmes du groupe Ben sont à leur troisième prêt solidaire.
La cliente MARIAM, assise au milieu, compte acheter un chargement de charrette d’ignames avec les grossistes de Dioïla pour ensuite les revendre sur place dans le village et des les foires environnantes.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
