Flavia is 34 years old and lives in Koboko, Uganda. She is married and has 2 children who are all currently in school. For the past 13 years, Flavia has been working hard to manage her décor business, which rents party decorations and flowers.
To help expand her business, Flavia has requested a loan of 3,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to add capital and buy more decoration items for parties. This will help Flavia to generate greater profits and meet customer needs. Flavia hopes that in the future she will be able to look after her children.
Flavia is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Flavia who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
