Hilarión is 45 years old, married and has five dependent children. He runs his business alone, since his wife is located in the town of Punata, about 100km away from where he lives. His wife is in Punata with the objective of taking care of their children and supporting their education, renting a room, since in their community there is only primary education. Due to the continuous rains recorded in the area, Hilarión has suffered the water logging of his productive land, causing his crops to rot in a large part of the property in early January 2013, resulting in a decrease in financial income. For these reasons mentioned here, his economic stability has suffered, directly affecting the acquisition of materials and inputs required for the agricultural production and the education of his children. In order to remedy this, he is requesting this loan with the objective of improving their quality of life and stabilizing the family’s financial needs and getting back on the path to prosperity.
