The “LUZ ALEGRÍA” [Joyful Light] communal bank will begin its sixth cycle in Pro Mujer as a part of the German Busch center. It is made up of eight members and is led by a board of directors of which Damiana is president. The business of the members of the communal bank have are varied. Among them are: selling plantain chips, selling filling, selling stevia, selling toys, weaving blankets, selling food.

The loan they will take out will benefit the micro businesswomen. Damiana is one of them and she joined Pro Mujer ten years ago. She joined at the invitation of a developer who visited her at her house. Right now she has a business selling food. She says that she started this business that she took out with Pro Mujer. Previously, she had worked as a food assistant and she had the knowledge she needed.

The koan she will take out now is to increase her capital (buying potatoes). She will acquire them in the city markets in La Paz and later she will prepare them in her sales stall. This work allows her to generate resources to support her home as much as possible. She is married and has six children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she says that she likes the health and credit trainings.

La A.C. “LUZ ALEGRÍA” iniciará el sexto ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de German Busch, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Damiana es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: chiflera, venta de rellenos, venta de estebia, venta de juguetes, tejido de mantas, venta de comida.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Damiana es integrante, ella indica que hace diez años que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por invitación de un promotor de la institución que fue a visitarle a su casa. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de comida; da a conocer que este negocio lo emprendió con el primer préstamo que saco de Pro Mujer, ya que anteriormente había trabajado como ayudante de comida y tenía el conocimiento necesario.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de papa) que adquirirá de las ferias de la ciudad de La Paz y posteriormente a la elaboración lo comercializará en su puesto fijo. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para mantener en lo posible a su hogar pues ella es casada y tiene seis hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta le gusta las capacitaciones en salud y crédito.
