The "Unión Retamas" communal bank will begin its second loan cycle with Pro Mujer, through the Juan Pablo II regional office. The group is composed of eight members and directed by a board, with Dionicia as treasurer. The group's members have different types of businesses, including: knitting blankets, selling petticoats, selling vegetables, selling fruits, selling car mats, selling blankets and making macrame.

This loan will benefit microbusinesses in the group which Dionicia is a member of. She says this is her first loan cycle with Pro Mujer, having joined following an invitation from one of the institution's representatives who visited her at home. She currently has a business selling fruit and Dionicia tells us that she started this business a few years ago under her own initiative.

This loan is to increase her capital by buying fruit from the markets in the city of La Paz, which she will later sell at her fixed market stall. This type of work allows Dionicia to earn money to maintain her household as best as possible, She is married and has three children.

When asked what she likes most about Pro Mujer she replies that she likes the loans and the support with health issues.

La A.C. “UNIÓN RETAMAS” iniciará el segundo ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Juan Pablo II, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Dionicia es la Tesorera. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: tejido de mantas, venta de busos y de enaguas, venta de verduras, venta de frutas, venta de tapetes de autos, venta de mantas y elaboración de macramé.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Dionicia es integrante, ella indica que es el primer ciclo que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por invitación de un promotor de la institución que fue a visitarle a su casa. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de fruta; da a conocer que este negocio lo emprendió hace varios años atrás por iniciativa propia.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de fruta) que adquirirá de las ferias de la ciudad de La Paz y posteriormente lo comercializará en su puesto fijo. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para mantener en lo posible a su hogar pues ella es casada y tiene tres hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta le gusta los prestamos y el apoyo en salud.
