Godfrey is a thirty-three-year-old married man with three children living in Kasese, Uganda.
For seven years he has been trading in produce and the business is very lucrative. Customers not paying on time and insufficient supply due to unpredictable weather affect the business, while his dream is to own a food store that can sustainably supply his customers all year round. He started by selling two sacks a month but now sells over ten sacks in a month and is hopeful that he will be the leading supplier in the next two years.
Godfrey intends to use the loan to buy maize to sell.
