Jesca is a 38-year-old married woman with one child. She lives in Kisauni, Kenya with her husband and their child who is 16 years old and goes to Bamburi High school. They live in a rental house with both water and electricity. She owns and operates a grocery where she sells onions, bananas, watermelon, potatoes, kale, cabbage and oranges. She has been running this business for three years.
She has requested a loan of KSH 20,000 to buy sacks of onions and potatoes. She is grateful for the opportunity.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
