Rosemary is a resident of Katembe in the Isingiro district. She is aged 38 years with 5 children all of whom are in school. She lost her husband 2 years ago. Since then she is the only one taking care of the family in terms of paying the tuition fees for children and meeting all their other basic needs. Unfortunately when her husband passed away the family had no income generating project except the banana plantation. This is used as a source of food and any surplus is sold to earn money for upkeep. Recently her plantation was attacked by a banana wilting disease. It is drying up and will make her family starve if she does not remedy the situation. She is requesting for a loan of 1,200,000 to buy organic fertilizers and pesticides to save her banana plantation. She is grateful that Ugafode is coming to her rescue at one of the moments she needs them most.
