Juliana is married with 7 children. She is 57 years old and lives in Barangay Culo Molave, in the province of Zamboanga del Sur.
Juliana runs a general store to earn a living and has had this business for 5 years. She earns 5,000 Philippine pesos (PHP) per month doing this type of work. She has requested a loan to purchase more stock for her general store, including shampoo, toothpaste, soap, vinegar, and salt.
Juliana has been a member of Paglaum MPC for 2 years. In the future, she hopes to become successful and earn a better living.
About Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative
Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PMPC) was founded in 1992 by the beneficiaries, parents and staff of the Paglaum Community Development Foundation to address economic and livelihood activities for sustainability. The organization operates in the northwestern provinces of Mindanao and Visayas.
In the local vernacular, “paglaum” means “hope.” The initial foundation is dedicated to child development through a holistic approach. The goal is to build self-reliance and expand opportunity so the poorest of the poor can help themselves.
