The “Sueño del Futuro” comunal bank is made up of nine members. Seven are women and two are men. The president of the group is Eduardo. He is 43 years old, married, and has six school-aged children. He works in house construction and remodeling; he’s a contract bricklayer. He lives in the town of El Torno. This loan is his second with this institution. Eduardo will use this loan to buy construction materials that will allow him to do his job in an efficient manner, since he has contracts he needs to finish. His reason for requesting the loan is to continue improving his work. Eduardo will use it to buy tools for his work. The ones he has are getting old and he needs to get new ones in order to do a better job. Eduardo is a very hardworking person and he feels happy because of the opportunity provided to him through the loan, since this work is how he supports himself.

This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals.
