Charity is 45 years old and a retired teacher living in Kaloleni, Kenya. She owns a school. She has employed six teachers and now the first groups of students are in standard eight. She has requested a loan of KSH 20,000 to hire more teachers and ensure effective teaching standards for the candidates preparing for the national exams.
She hopes that this will help improve the school results hence attract more students.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
