Amina has operated a grocery store for the past 10 years. She is a recurrent client of Yehu Microfinance. She is a widow and has four children, all of whom attend school.
Amina has repaid several loans to date and is asking for this one in order to buy such items as beverages, baked goods, sugar, and tea so that she can offer a wider variety of goods to her customers. By providing a greater variety of products, she will attain a larger profit margin, which will help her improve her entire family’s standard of living.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
