Judith is a single mother of four; all her children go to school. She also takes care of additional family members (a sister and brother). She resides in a rented house; the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expense includes rent, school fees and feeding the family.
She owns a bar and has been in this business for 10 years. She has applied for a loan of 2,000,000 Uganda shillings from MCDT SACCO to buy more beer, soda, gin and local brew. Her major business challenges include seasonality and defaulters. She hopes to own a fully stocked bar and also to build her own house.
