Stella is married with three children--all of whom go to school. She has a business selling cosmetics and has been in this business for four years. She doesn't take care of any additional family members and doesn't have any other income-generating activity.
Stella has applied for a loan in Ugandan shillings from MCDT-SACCO to buy more cream relaxers, toiletries, bathing soap, hair oil and hair extensions. Her major business challenges include seasonality and ever-increasing prices of cosmetics in Uganda. She aspires to own a fully-stocked cosmetics shop and also to build rental houses. She resides in her own house and the family has access to electricity. Her monthly expenses include school fees and feeding the family.
