Ngundo is 24 years old from Tiribe, Kenya. He is married and has three children. He has owned a grocery and vegetable stall for the last three years. Ngundo has asked Yehu for a loan of 10,000 Kenyan shillings in order to restock his stall and buy a sack of vegetables and onions. He hopes that this loan will help him increase his income and improve his life.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
