Lennox lives in the Malindi area of Coast Province, Kenya. He is married and has one school-going child. He owns a food cafe which he has been operating for five years. In this café, he sells fries. He also owns a motorcycle which provides transport in the area. He employs four other people in the café.
Lennox learnt about Milango through friends who invited him to the group, and he joined with the aim of accessing credit to improve his business operations. His main challenges are competition and the effect of season changes.
Lennox is applying for a loan of 21,050 Kenya shillings to buy food stock e.g. rice, cereals, wheat flour, cooking fat etc. His extra income from the loan will be added to his savings to pay school fees for his child and improve on his living standard. His dream is to open another food cafe.
