Norma is 61 years old and married with one child. She lives in Clarin, Misamis Occidental. For over six years, she has owned and operated a retail business in the local community to earn a living; she earns 6,800 PHP every month.
Norma joined GDMPC in 2010, and now she is requesting a loan of 20,000 PHP to purchase additional products to sell like canned goods, shampoo, soap, coffee, and sugar. In the future, she hopes to expand her business.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
