Jerry is from Aurora Zamboanga del Sur, and father of two children. He is 51 years old. He is happily married and his wife is a nurse. He has a flower farm to earn a living. He decided to engage in this business to help his wife to earn an income for the family needs and of course for the education of the children. His wife is not yet a regular employee and does not earn so much. He has been in this business for about 5 years and earns an income of approximately PHP 8,250 a month.
Jerry was very happy hearing the name of GATA DAKU MPC when someone introduced them to him. Timing was good because he needs financial assistance for his farm. Without a doubt he went to the office and requested a loan in the amount of PHP 25,000. This is his first cycle of loan. The purpose of this loan is to purchase fertilizer which you can see he has picture. In the future he wants to purchase a cab for his single motorcycle.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
