Elio tiene 49 años de edad, está soltero y vive con los padres. El crédito lo quiere para asistir una propiedad de doble propósito la cual tiene potreros, café y agricultura. El quiere asistir estas actividades con un poco mas de recursos debido a que ellos son de bajos recursos económicos. El se ha dedicado con su familia al cultivo de granos básicos complementado con la ganadería. Es el primer préstamo que recibido de FUDECOSUR. El no había tenido antes otros préstamos en bancos estatales, pero FUDECOSUR le ha brindado el préstamo con mayores facilidades y la tasa de intereses mucho más baja.

By providing mostly agricultural loans, FUDECOSUR reaches rural borrowers that many MFIs consider to be too risky. However, this has also made it more difficult for the organization to find stable sources of capital to lend.
