Ernesto is from Kinangay Sur, Clarin, Misamis Occidental. He is 62 years old, and single. To make a living, Ernesto owns and operates a specialized retail store. He sells a variety of products: sugar, coffee, noodles, eggs, soy sauce, vinegar, and other basic needs in the local community. Ernesto has been in his business for more than five years and earns 10,200PHP per month from his business.
In 2011, Ernesto joined GDMPC. Ernesto is requesting a loan of 20,000PHP to purchase supplementary products to sell in his retail store. He plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to expand his grocery store business, and a fraction of his profit will be saved.

Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
