Serah, 41 years old, is married to Patrick and has two children. For the past 2 years, she has operated an M-Pesa business, a mobile-phone-based money-transfer service which allows users to deposit, withdraw, and transfer money, and pay bills, at very affordable rates without visiting a bank. Serah earns a monthly income of 35,000 KES from the business.
This will be Serah's first loan from KADET LTD. She plans to use the entire amount to add to her business float. In the future, Serah plans to open another M-Pesa shop.
