Tony Group
In this Group: Anthony, Joy
Tony's group is made of two partners, Anthony and Joy, both of whom reside at Glefe in Dansoman. They have been a group for four years now and are doing very well. They both sell soft drinks and provisions.

Anthony is 38 years old and sells soft drinks. This has been his work for the past six years and he is still doing very well. Because of his integrity and frankness, all of his customers have him at heart. He has been with ID Ghana for the past four years. He would still love to be a part of ID Ghana for all of his life.

He has received six loans and has fully repaid all of them. On his seventh loan, he is requesting GHS 2,200 to buy soft drinks such as Coca-Cola and Malta Guiness to help him meet his customers' demand. The entire group needs an amount of GHS 3,000 to buy more goods to sell to their respective customers in and around Dansoman.

About ID Ghana

ID Ghana is a microfinance NGO that provides financial and social services to underserved urban communities in Accra. This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
