Jackson is a hardworking man. He is 52 years old, and married with four children. He lives in Mwambalasi, Kenya together with his family. He is a carpenter by profession and he owns a hardware yard where he sells lumber and makes furniture to sell to customers who either buy it readymade or by custom order. In the last few months he has received a large order and has ran short of timber. He has now approached for loan in the amount of KES 50,000 to buy lumber for the yard.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
