Mwanakombo is 41 years old and married with four kids aged 17, 15, 13 and 10. She lives in Mwambalazi, Kenya. She lives with her family and all of her children are in school. Her main monthly expenditure is the payment of school fees. She earns a living through buying and selling coconuts. She buys from coconut farmers in Mwambalasi and sells to customers in Mombasa, a nearby town. She has been doing this for three months. Her business has grown and she wants to buy coconuts on a large scale. That is why she has requested a loan of KSH 30,000. She is grateful for the opportunity.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
