Mlongo is a person who very much wants to get ahead, which is why she approached Yehu Microfinance to request a loan. She intends to stock her shop with bags of sugar, rice, bundles of wheat, maize flour and drinks for the business.
Mlongo has worked in her business for 2 years. She’s married and with seven children; five are adults while the others still attend school. She tries to get ahead to have a better life. She’s asking for this loan to better satisfy her customers.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
