Sinaraha is single and has three school-age children. She is engaged in buying and selling dried fish in their village to generate income to help her family. She aims to improve the business and increase her income in order to cover their necessities and support the education of her children. In this regard, she is asking for a loan of 20,000 KES to buy additional stocks of dried fish and fish sauce to sell. She is hoping that this loan will help her improve the business and that it will be more profitable in the future.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
