Christine is a hard working entrepreneur who has a store near her house in Voi, Kenya. Christine buys and sells cereals, and she has been in this business for 3 years. She is 32 years of age, married with two children, both of whom are in school. She spends a lot to pay for school fees though she does not regret it because it is part of improving her children's living standards.
She has approached with a loan request amounting to Ksh. 50,000 to buy 15 sacks of maize and 3 sacks of beans to restock her stall. She hopes to save money to expand her business in the future.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
